NOW It Can Be Told…Withersin Sale

Posted by reudaly on October 1, 2009 in Books, Writing |

I’ve known for a while, but haven’t said much until contracts came. I just signed contracts for the sale of my story, “Queer Eye for the Dead Guy” to Withersin. It won’t be out until the Fall of 2010 – Withersin but out a note in their email:

Commencing after the release of Volume 3: Turpentine, Iodine and Arsenic, Withersin has chosen to adopt an annual book format in lieu of a magazine. We strongly feel that the title “Magazine” can sway our readers into thinking the information within our pages is somehow “dated” and can easily become obsolete.

This is entirely untrue.

All of the regular content of the publication formerly known as “Withersin Magazine” will remain the same: The interesting facts, razor-wire fiction, demented dreamscapes, riveting true stories, and amazing artwork will still be found inside Withersin, but in an easier to find and obtain book format.

My story will be in Withersin 134340: Charon, Nix and Hydra (Volume 4)

This is the story that was bumped in the final rounds for Julia Mandala’s anthology and given it’s “revised” name by Aaron Allston. It’s a story I’ve always found quite funny and hope you do when you get to read it next year!
