		<description>Pity that the &quot;nameless person&quot; thinks that science fiction is what is on TV and film.  the fen know that women have been writing science fiction with serious themes ever since C L Moore in the 1930&#039;s(and she created the &quot;Indiana Jones&quot; character in her Northwest Smith, and that Princess character in Jirel of Joiry way back then too, if you are into Space Opera.)  As for serious SCIENCE fiction author (esses) how about Octavia Butler, Kate Wilhelm, Nancy Kress, Ursula LeGuin, etc etc etc lo these 40 years and more?</description>
