If you take advantage of the tutorial (which I TOTALLY recommend), the learning curve is at the top end of mild. The tutorial takes a couple of hours, but you see how the basic features work, and how to use them with some of the things you already have. For my slightly begun projects, I've imported those then started breaking out the newer elements. And let's put it this way... I STARTED the program and the tutorial while in a hospital waiting room waiting on my MIL's knee replacement surgery outcomes and recovery - I'm learning and using the program with those kinds of distractions going on. That's gotta tell you something.

I've so wanted to get into Scrivner or LiquidBinder (esp. since I'm not a linear writer, ever) but I'm so wary of the learning curve. I used one of the first Scrivner versions for Windows a while ago and gave up on it because it seemed clunky. Sounds like it's improved a lot, but how would you describe the learning curve for it? Steep, mild, ???

Thank you. I love the Vorkosigan books, and eaelcislpy the more recent ones with Ekaterin. She may lack the societal support and training to be a dragon-slayer, but she has done something that is in my mind equally (if not more difficult), she has managed to retain a core of integrity in a situation that has done nothing but try to extinguish her altogether. That she remains to outward appearence a proper Vor lady does not diminish the strength of character that takes.I have been a little dissappointed that once Miles arrived on the scene at all, Cordelia essentially vanished as anything but an adjunct character, who arrives on the scene dispenses analysis and Betan wisdom, and vanishes again. She was and remains my favorite character of all time.

Interesting that you would use these for editing. I need my edits to stand out far more than these ultra-fine lines do on a page full of printed text. Maybe I'm blind?

By the way, you really rose to the challenge on "Grammar Nazi"! I'll be reading more.

I bought a pack of these pens in assorted ink colors. So far I like them pretty well. Time will tell. I've not yet tested for moisture. I hate runny, smudged ink.
