Rhonda Eudaly

She takes a lickin’ and keeps on tickin’. Dixon, the Elder Cat, does not have Thyroid problems. Go figure.

She does have the worst case of osteo-arthritis our vet has ever seen in a cat – ancient or otherwise; hypertension; glaucoma; and reduced kidney function in one kidney. There are a couple more tests we’ll find out about tomorrow. So far, treatments are very doable medications (though eye drops may be a challenge 😎 – she had to be sedated to draw blood.)

At that point, the relief will be great… OR the other shoe will drop. Right now, some relief that the worst-case scenarios aren’t happening. We just have an old, crotchety cat who’s 96 years oldish in human years.

Thanks for all the good thoughts today.
