I didn’t get a blog up yesterday. Not even a rerun. I was involved with FenCon until about 2pm yesterday. Though I managed to get all of last week’s blogs up and running, this one did not happen.
I did pick up an AMAZING promotional pen from Lee Killough. It’s a space shuttle pen. Writes with black ball point ink. She added her own personalization (which is why part of it is rubbing off already).

It’s nearly 6″ long and the retractor mechanism is the shuttle or the booster rockets. It’s SO COOL! So cool, in fact, that this is my second one. I gave the first one to Geoffrey Landis – who is a rocket scientist.
The numbers:
1. How does it work? – 0.5 It’s okay. Kind of a fine point, which is nice, but as a novelty pen, it’s not the best ink.
2. Grip and feel – 0.5 – It’s a bit on the wide side and the rockets can be uncomfortable, but it’s so cool you forget about that..
3. Material – 0.5 – It’s a novelty pen, generally for kids, so it’s pretty cheaply made adn completely plastic. So it is what it is.
4. Overall Design – 1 – This is the COOLEST NOVELTY PEN EVER!!!!!
5. Price Point – 1 – I have no idea. But they can’t the that much. And you do get the COOL factor.
