Is Livescribe Pulse notebooks compatible with the FLY Fusion Pen?
I’ve been toying with the “digital pen” idea. My husband bought me a FLY Fusion for Christmas last year. Just now, I’m getting around to using it for any length of time. It’s a bit bulky for my hand, but I’m doing my novel re-write project with it, to see if it has a good use.
We’ve been looking at the Livescribe Pulse, which I like in THEORY because it’s smaller and geared for grown-ups. HOWEVER, in doing the research, I’ve discovered it doesn’t yet have an essential application — handwriting to text OCR conversion. It just downloads your handwriting to the computer, it doesn’t turn it into a text file. GEEZ… It’s SUPPOSEDLY coming…
Anyway, my seemingly simple question is this… are the dot paper notebooks compatible??? Livescribe has the best notebooks for the best deals — 4 x 100 page spirals at 8×10.5 size or 2 journal notebooks ($20-$25) where FLY just has 70 page single subject notebooks for $8/piece.
Can you believe no one has an answer for that? I’ve contacted FLY. I’ve put a post on Livescribe. I’ve just now sent an email to Anoto who developed a lot of the paper technology.
I would LOVE someone to answer the question before I shell out $20 for an experiment. And there’s very little on eBay right now for that route of experimentation.
Does anyone out there know?
