I saw this link to a memo written by David Mamet on Twitter (thanks @Bergopolis). It’s got some language in it (for the work-safe environment folks), but the underlying message on how to create drama in brilliant in its simplicity. I need to read it a dozen times and have it pinned to my wall until it’s second nature.

Mamet is talking to screenwriters – but it applies TO ALL WRITERS in ANY MEDIUM.

Did I mention Brilliant in it’s Simplicity – and at the same time profound and deep.

EDIT: Apparently when you schedule a future post – it doesn’t progagate to LiveJournal and Facebook. I actually posted this yesterday.
