[Bonus Post] The Hugos & The Campbell Award

Posted by reudaly on March 24, 2014 in Writing |

I am not one that goes in for a lot of hype and stuff, but Mark Finn posted a piece today about nominating outside of the traditional spherefor the Hugo Awards.

As I was reading and doing my own nominating, I read the information for the Campbell – and even though I’m not on the “Approved” Campbell list, I am actually eligible. My story “Operators Are Standing By” in Rayguns Over Texas is considered a “Professional” sale. It is my first “qualifying” sale. By that logic, I am eligible – so is Derek Anton Johnson.

If you wanted to see a very strange upset… here’s your chance. I can also be nominated under Short Story and Best Related work as Co-Editor (with Tim Miller) of the FenCon X program book.

I know there’s only a week left in voting and this is late, but if you feel compelled…
