The 27th Time’s the Charm
THIS morning that I found an acceptance letter for my story, “Justice Survives”. It sold to Chaos Theory: Tales Askew. It’s an online market. I’ll post the link when it goes live in a couple of weeks. I went back over my submission log. It’s taken 1 YEAR, 2 MONTHS, and 9 DAYS for the acceptance to come in.
* This is the 27th market it’s been submitted to.
* It’s been almost exactly SEVEN YEARS for this story to find a home. It’s first submission date is 10/17/2001.
* I’ve always loved the characters in this story. It’s my girl spy whom I love and stars in that spy novel I keep working on slowly, ever so slowly.
* It does give a sense of HOPE that ANYTHING can happen when a story that’s been around this long actually finds a home.
* And Perseverance really does work…
