In face today is “over caffeinated day”, and I didn’t even get my typical refill. I normally get a grande coffee — Thanksgiving blend this month, Christmas next!!! — I was doing my morning online clean out when one of the staffers brought me over a Peppermint Latte or Peppermint Mocha. Either way, I have had Peppermint flavored espresso on top of my coffee. I don’t need MORE caffeine.

I started typing up “Warts and All”. It’s my newest WIP. I started it during the Dave Farland workshop. It’s been the recipient of my 250 words a day. And you know, I’ve talked about doing some YA or younger reader stuff. This could be the first one. And it’s looking like it’s going to be at LEAST chapbook length if not full blown novel (which means I need to start doing chapter breaks). Because it’s got to be close to 5K now and it’s not anywhere near done.

I’m starting the “chore” part of my “process”. I’m typing the stuff I’ve written in long hand. I also got some work on my “fractured fairy tale” collection this weekend. I need to work some more on that as well. But my husband is going to be out of town for a few days this week. I won’t have anything else to do but write and take the dog out. 😎

So, question, if anyone’s gotten this far down — I normally treat WIPs like they don’t exist (at least for readings and such), but would you guys like to see snippets of this WIP as I work on it? I know other authors who put out bits and pieces, but they’re “bigger” than me. Would you guys like to see what I’m working on?

I think I have my StrangeWords article idea. We went to a memorial service for artist Don Ivan Punchatz this weekend. Wow, what a legacy. And what awesome tributes.

So, back to work – need to run some errands today as well.
