Vista Question
Anyone out there actually experience a way to fix the problem with the file transfer issue in Vista? I’m transferring 1.7 GB of information from my hard drive to my flash drive and it’s currently sitting at 9 hours.
I’ve seen the Elventy Bajillion posts and boards about this issue. It wasn’t fixed with SP1 (I have SP1 on my Vista Premium). I’m completely updated. Blah. It’s just not that acceptable to take that long to back up stuff. A back up SHOULD be quick and easy so you REMEMBER TO DO THEM so you don’t lose entire novels if/when a crash occurs.
Some of the work arounds have done a couple of funky things that aren’t fixing the problem but definitely… funky. I’m trying to remember what I did so I can undo some of it to make the funky go away.
Downgrading to XP is not an option. And to anyone who tried to tell me that Vista was fine until you had to fix something – I’m sorry I doubted you.
Apparently THIS problem has been around since 2007.
